Welcome to the course! This course will show you the scan2BIM methodology. This methodology provides a 3D model of a building which is a container of data and information that could be used for the management or for the refurbishment of the building itself. It is composed of different steps: scanning, post-processing of the point cloud, generation of the as-built BIM model. Scan2BIM supports AEC professionals (architects, engineers, etc.) in mapping and digitalizing the building sector, which is becoming increasingly important for the construction progress allowing the building management from the earliest stage of the as-built to the last stages of demolition and disposal. After this basic course you will learn how it works and you will understand how many possibilities and interesting output you can have with this scan2BIM 3D model. Enjoy!
